2-5 Fencing Ozrim

Being an After-School Activity Ozrim is a unique and rewarding opportunity for middle school students. As an Ozrim, students will assist coaches and instructors, engage with younger students, and help create a welcoming environment. 

We look to our Ozrim as leaders. If students are not fulfilling their Ozrim responsibilities, they may be asked to no longer participate in the activity. Note that each activity is limited to two Ozrim, but students can join the waitlist if spots are filled. Schedules may change, and positions could open up at any time during the winter season.

Below is the description of the class:

Coach Sasha is back to guide our 2nd through 5th graders in the art of fencing! This dynamic sport sharpens both mental agility and physical strength. Young fencers will master bouting techniques with swords, emphasizing agility, footwork, hand-eye coordination, and teamwork. En garde!

About Coach Sasha Pai:

- 20 years of national competitive fencing experience

- 10 years of fencing coaching

- Head Foil Coach at Twin Cities Fencing Club since 2020

- SPA Fencing Head Coach since 2015, MN State Champions for 8 straight years

- University of Minnesota PE Fencing Instructor since Spring 2023

- University of Minnesota Fencing Head Coach from 2015 to 2018
